This fall, I’ve added a new appointment type to my calendar — a Somatic and Deep Relaxation Session. It draws on my 20+ years of experience in somatic and sensory interventions, grounded in my master’s background in Psychomotor Therapy.
This two-hour session is an invitation to unwind and return to yourself. We begin with a gentle conversation and a soft sensory and emotional check-in to sense what your body and mind need. From there, a sense of safety and calm is induced in your nervous system through sensory awareness, slow movement, breath work, and guided imagery or clinical hypnosis — easing you into deep rest while lying down. I combine a few techniques such as Soubiran, Shultz, Psychomotor and clinical hypnosis principles.
With your consent, light therapeutic touch may be included — a grounding presence that supports safety and connection.
Soothing sounds, calming sensory mediums, and gentle Vagus nerve regulation exercises help the nervous system soften and find balance while releasing stored emotions from you fascia, muscles and organs. As your parasympathetic system gets activated, your cortisol level becomes lower and your breathing deepens. As the body settles, the mind clears, and a quiet sense of clarity begins to emerge.
The session closes with another moment of conversation — an exchange and reflection that helps integrate the experience and guide the next session.
Afterward, you may notice one or more of the following: a calmer mind, a slower pace, deeper sleep, or even fatigue as your body resets. Some people also experience memory or emotional flashbacks — pleasant or uncomfortable — accompanied by an ability to see them with new perspective and less anxiety.
Each session is thoughtfully adapted to your pace, comfort, and goals.
If you’re longing to slow down and reconnect with yourself, you’re welcome to book a session and experience this deep rest for your body and mind.
